Great River Race

A team of paddlers, some with with disabilities, completed the 22 Mile non-stop race against a variety of other craft. We participated in our new Mirage V6 Va'a Aim High 2!

Members 2400 Mile Challenge

Disabled club member Dan Hopwood has paddled the 2251 miles of the Mississippi River in the USA from the source to New Orleans.

He completed it in a 3 man Wenonah Seneca Canadian in 59 paddling days at an average of 40 miles per day

Filming

The club was in Whitby filming "Olympic Generation" and gaining some valuable sea experience for the IVF Va'a World Cup in Rio, Brazil. The adaptive team also practiced their 'Huli' (Capsize). They managed to right the boat, get back in and bail in an excellent time

WORLD SPRINTS, NEW ZEALAND

A team of our athletes brought back a Gold medal in the World Sprints at Lake Karapiro, New Zealand. 6 Stoke & N. Staffs Outrigger Club athletes teamed up with 6 London athletes in the V12 event beating teams from Italy, New Zealand, USA and Hawaii!

Our 12 man Crew Maori War Canoe

HEREFORD TO ROSS-ON-WYE 27 MILER

A group of six of our paddlers completed the 27 mile paddle raising money for The County Air Ambulance. Four of our paddlers had varying disabilities including Spinal Injury(T4), Diabetes, Cerebal Palsy and an amputee.
