RECRUITMENT

We are currently applying for funding for more canoes. We hope to obtain V1's, V2's and V6's (1,2 & 6 man). We hope to recruit and train teams of able bodied and adaptive paddlers. Anyone who wants to try the sport or wants any more information should not hesitate in contacting us.

ADAPTIVE

Outrigger Canoeing is a watersport accessible to anyone with varying levels of challenges that are motivated to learn and push themselves.

We will work with you and various volunteers to evolve seat, paddle and equipment adaptations. We want to see all paddlers as equals in the boat and give everyone the opportunity to excel and win.

Stoke & N. Staffs Outrigger Club is proud to have led the first British Adaptive Outrigger Canoe team to the 2006 World Championship Sprints, New Zealand. The team joined 6 able bodied paddlers from London and came back with a Gold Medal in the mixed 12 man event!

Members 2400 Mile Challenge

Disabled club member Dan Hopwood will attempt to canoe the 2400 miles of the Mississippi River in the USA.
